Mary Catherine is a Property Manager with EastBanc Real Estate Development, Inc. located in Georgetown, where she is responsible for overseeing $9.6 million, 332,772-square feet of mixed use real estate of property in the Washington, DC, area. She also managed Macy’s East as a Director of Operations for 20 years, leading daily operations for $48 million, 277,000-square feet of retail space. In addition to her facilities management experience, Mary Catherine served as the Director of Corporate Relations and Special Events for the United States Navy Memorial for 10 years, planning and executing the non-profit’s high-profile fundraising events—including the Lone Sailor Awards Gala which grossed more than $800,000 annually.
Raised in a Navy and Catholic family, Mary Catherine was born in Guam, and lived in numerous duty stations between California and Virginia. She has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Rosemont College.
Mary Catherine enjoys travel and running and is a member of the Marine Corps Marathon Runners Club.
She feels a special connection to Father Capodanno. She first learned of him through a Macy’s colleague who served in Vietnam and she attended the Military Memorial Mass where his Cause for Sainthood was announced. Her father’s childhood friend, Father Dan Dolan, worked with Father Capodanno.
